Serving the needs of our members, veterans, and their families

The mission of Vet to Vet TN is to provide peer support for Veterans recovering from mental health issues and substance abuse, and offers strategies and coping skills for living a healthy lifestyle.

About Vet2Vet of Middle Tennessee

Founded in 2014 by Columbia TN veterans as a philanthropic organization, Vet2Vet of Middle TN is interested in helping fellow area veterans in need of assistance.

  • Some veterans just need the regular fellowship of other veterans over a meal.
  • Some cannot make a car or insurance payment, house rent, utilities, etc.
  • Others need a job or are unaware of the benefits they have earned through the Veterans Administration.
  • Some have run afoul of the law because of drug addiction or mental health issues.
Some Things We've Done
  • Helped Home Depot employees build a deck for a paralyzed veteran.
  • Replaced floor coverings for a veteran who had an accidental loss.
  • Bought a bed for a veteran who could not afford one.
  • Helped a disabled veteran find and move from a second-level apartment into a bottom-floor apartment, and catch up on his bills.
  • We also host an annual “all” Veterans Banquet which last year had over 90 attendees.
  • We attempt to find a way to help our veteran brothers and sisters regardless of their needs.
Although self-governing, Vet2Vet of Middle Tennessee is part of a national organization. We currently meet at 7 AM Monday mornings at Puckett’s Grocery in downtown Columbia, as well as Wednesdays at 6 PM at Asgard Brewery.
